Speaker 1:

Hello there, this is Living your Success 24-7 with yours truly, michael Caine. That's K-A-N-E. Spell it right? Anyway, let's jump right into it. Inquiring minds need to know.

Speaker 1:

Anyway, I was thinking, and, as you know, this year is a year of absolute contention politically speaking. It's election year and, as you know, from the top down, from the office of president, vice president and Congress and people and senators, et cetera, senators, etc. Etc. Down to local races, and so what am I trying to say? Well, let me just say it, it's an important year and and not to be preach, whatever side of the spectrum or side of the aisle you sit Democrat, Republican or whatever party you know please exercise your right to vote. This isn't my main message, but I'm going to. This is the prelude Exercise your right to vote so you have a say. Each vote adds up, folks. So I encourage all of you who are can vote, vote for whatever and whoever you, whoever you believe in, what you believe in and why you believe in, do for it.

Speaker 1:

So, moving now into my spin, that said, more ever over and above, we should not put all our eggs in the political basket. So what I mean? I mean whoever wins, and let's just focus on the office of president, whether it's Democrat, republican, it matters, and it matters you vote. However, I want to say, say the way I see it and I adopted this philosophy a while ago, a little while ago that no matter who wins, it's not going to have an absolute effect to my prosperity or to my detriment. Now, obviously, there could be some level of damage, depending who's the president, depending on who you support or not support and your opinion, your viewpoint. But my greater point is no matter who Is voted in the office this year, 70 something days I'm not going to void my control over my life or give that up or ignore self-determination, meaning I control some or part of my destiny, of where I want to go. And now some people want to argue no, you can't, you don't have control over anything. Well, you may not have, but Michael Caine does, and a lot of people, billions do as well.

Speaker 1:

If you keep saving your money, not waiting for the government to totally bail you out or bail you out at all, or a little bit, now we do need assistance. We all been there. Not saying not to, but what I'm saying is we need to take on, we need we me too need to take ownership of our lives, meaning do I really need this uh twenty dollar muffin today, when I'm trying to save and invest to get a car? Does that make sense at this point in my life to buy this $20 muffin? Okay, now I haven't totally arrived on top of the mountaintop, but when I'm in a serious mode to pay off a debt and I have one nice one that I'm that's what I'm focused on right now and I'm getting close to freedom on that. No matter who's in office, michael Caine is still going to continue to save his money, to invest his money, to do the best I can do in everything that I do. I can't say, oh, if this Republican wins, oh, I'm doomed, I can't do anything, I need to leave the country, I need to go to africa, I need to go wherever. Or if this other candidate wins, oh, all my, all my uh needs have been answered, all my needs have been answered. I don't have to worry about it anymore.

Speaker 1:

Now, this is delusional thinking that, um, do I, do we have absolute control over our lives? Heck, no, absolutely not. Not saying that. I'm just saying the. What you can control.

Speaker 1:

See, the uncontrollables are uncontrollables, like here's one raising taxes, like one group wants to just keep raising them until you just go broke. So or stifle business ownership. Most businesses are small business owners or small mom and pops, not your Goliath businesses. Those aren't the biggest employers. Medium and small businesses are. So what are we doing to help them? To keep people employed, gainfully employed, so they can be financially free one day, and so I'm thinking about what's controllable.

Speaker 1:

So do this homework assignment. Can be financially free one day, and so I'm thinking about what's controllable. So do this Homework assignment. Take a piece of paper out, do a T-bar Horizontal line, vertical line, one side, controllables, let's say the left side. The right side, uncontrollables this everything you can control and all the things you can't control. And so it should not be a surprise when we're about to say that column that has the uncontrollables. Disregard it right now. Focus on the controllables of what you can do.

Speaker 1:

Now, those uncontrollables. We should vote and protest and do whatever we can legally, professionally, to stop the impediment of our liberties and emptying our bank accounts and wallets and purses. We should do what we can, but, day in in, day out, work on the controllables. And so I said well, I can put money aside each month. Okay, emergency funds, uh, vacation fund, car fund, house repair fund. I could do that. It may not be what I exactly wished and hope as far as the amount, but I can put what I can put aside For a rainy day, all of my rainy day funds, and I have control over some aspects of my life. I can Like who I want to be friends with, who I want to help, who want to give my money for business to. You know, uh, when I'm shopping or whatever, I don't have to go to this particular store, I can go to that store, whatever I. I could do that self-determination, my pathway in life, where I'm headed, I plan for that, I replan, I reset and you know.

Speaker 1:

Now, do you have total control over that? No, but you have control over your planning and what you expect and what you're going to shoot for right. So at this point, no one has control over your mind Not my mind, I know and you don't have control, true, of bad stuff happening to you, whether you lose your job, you file bankruptcy, you have some maniac and insane person that you hired to clean your pool or so, let's say, is insane, idiot. You don't have control over that, but you have control if you're going to fire the person right or continue to use them. What can I control? What can I control? What aspect can I control? What aspect can I control?

Speaker 1:

Don't want to be going off on a tangent. It's very simple to do, but let's not give up our power, the power we have, the little we may have. Let's not give it all away to politicians or anyone, but specifically politicians and the political speak, because it's election year, to politicians or anyone, but specifically politicians In the political speak, because it's election year. Very important. Give up our power. Oh, we're doomed If this person doesn't win. Oh, what are we going to do? Really, I'm not giving that All my juice to somebody else, even if I support them, regardless if I support them or not support them. I'm not giving everyone all my juice to somebody else, even if I support them, regardless if I support them or not support. I'm not giving everyone my energy. That's my energy. This is my control of my life, is what this is at my box, that I can do what I need to do, want to do.

Speaker 1:

So don't give away your power. Don't let people steal your joy. I know they're gonna steal it, they're like vampires, but you gotta get it back. Yeah, you're gonna get pissed off, not saying they can get angry, yeah, you can get angry, but you gotta go beyond that. We're gonna be angry every day. You're gonna be dull every day. Really, yeah, you're just five steps forward, 20 steps back. If that's the way you operate, we can't operate that way.

Speaker 1:

So I encourage you, my listeners, existing and new listeners to hey fight for your freedom. Now we're not in a physical bondage per se, like like a slavery, but are we? Maybe we are to some degree. That's a whole nother podcast. Whole nother podcast. Yeah, but nother podcast. Yeah, but what freedom? What control do you have?

Speaker 1:

And I know people's lists will look different, won't be the same list, but you got to really think about what power, what juice am I giving up to other people, other organizations, other other entities, other people in our lives there's? You know, personally, I don't want someone sucking my life force. Right, just like the vampire movies. They're sucking you dry, sucking all your blood out, in this case, your motivation, your spirit, your self power, your control, your emotional intelligence, sucking it right out in your wallet and all the money in your wallet and purse. Don't let that happen to you.

Speaker 1:

So it's okay and it's okay if people agree to disagree. Even if they don't agree to disagree, it's okay. You got to do you. I like that, do you? Some people may not like when you do you. I like that, do you? Some people may not like when you do you, because you're not running around with your chicken popping up your head like the popping I can't remember that expression. Do you pop your head popping off like a chicken little? Chicken little is what I'm trying to say. Run around what I do. Oh the earth, oh, the earth is falling, the sky is falling Right, the sky is falling, chicken little, the sky is falling. Run around With your head lopped off. Don't do that. Don't do the chicken little thing, because you have more power than you know.

Speaker 1:

And for this election year this is part of my podcast living your success 24 7 and we do have to deal with the world of politics, economics and a whole laundry list of other things. We have to, or should, be well informed and even then, you know, people see things differently and that's fine. That's fine to have difference of opinion, to have different ways to live, to survive, and so self determination is means you have a say-so in the course of your life in the direction you want to take. You can do this. You will need courage, you will need strength, perseverance, but you have that. You have that. You have that in you. So please do you and do what's right for you, whatever that means. So that's it. I'm calling it right now.

Speaker 1:

Until next time, you make sure you listen and share my podcast, please. I appreciate it. I'm on different platforms Apple, iheartradio, spotify, amazon Music, etc. Etc. And so you can go on Amazon too. Give them a book. Yeah, this is self-promotion. Yeah, slaying your dragons. Living the life you always wanted that's my mantra. Living the life you always wanted. And I'm still marching to that, beat that drum, and so I encourage all of you to do the same. So until next time. This is Michael Caine living your success 24-7. Adios.
