Hello there, this is Michael Caine, with Living your Success 24-7. Hallelujah, how are you doing? Hope you're doing great, hope you're doing fine. All of you, thank you for being loyal listeners to this podcast. I appreciate you. I know we probably haven't met some of us most of us but I appreciate you. I know we probably haven't met some of us Most of us but I appreciate you nevertheless, because you could be doing something else Than listening to my podcast. So I do want to say Happy October. Wow, halloween's coming up. Can you imagine? The next month is what? Thanksgiving, and then Christmas, wow, in that order. So what's on my mind? What is on my mind? I was thinking about guess what's happening? November 5th 2024.
Speaker 1:Well, it's a general election, it's voting time. I hope you participate, if possible, in the voting experience and it's important to do your part and contribute by voting what you feel, voting your heart, whatever you do, your intellect, your truth. So many people have given their lives. So we have the opportunity to be free to be able to vote. Excuse me, wow, it's like sneezing today, periodically, without a cold, and so anyway, um, you say the argument against voting is well, my vote doesn't matter, I can't change anything. Can you imagine if 100 million to 100 million people say, well, it won't make a difference, so why bother? Well, because, cumulatively speaking, your vote does matter. Maybe statistically, at the end of the voting night, that, well, someone won by 20,000 votes. Well, you know, don't look at it that way. Just say I participated and I did the best I can. I did my part to honor those who literally gave their lives so we can enjoy the freedom of voting.
Speaker 1:Voting isn't the same. Around the world, even those that claim to be what can you say? Fair, equitable, fair-minded, humane. I won't mention certain countries out there. That pretty much isn't. You know. Their voting system is a scam, not legitimate. But do I believe the United States is perfect? No, I don't Do I believe there's fraud going on? Probably. But what is that expression? Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater. What if somebody did something bad on your birthday? Does that mean we not celebrate your birthday because someone else did something bad? That wouldn't make sense, would it it? What about having a bad dinner at a restaurant? Well, you stop going to all restaurants. Seem how ridiculous that sounds. Now? Huh, it does, because that's because it is so, but do what you feel.
Speaker 1:Um, so november 5th and this is a big one because you're talking about the we'll decide who the president of the United States is, vice president, whole lot of congressional and Senate races and governmental races, local from mayors to city council, to board of supervisors and etc. School boards, etc. Water districts, so this is a big enchilada and so I have to tell you I have agonized over it and why some of you are probably just going to not vote, you're not going to go there, because you just don't know and you're, you know, kind of jaded maybe, and I can understand why. You know the caliber of the candidates is that question. Significantly. People believe their candidate is the holy grail and the other one is the demon. You know, either or both parties demonizing each other and and some um aren't legitimately, you know, showing who they truly are, and that happens, I think, in many elections. But yeah, when you have a certain mindset and then you flip-flop and change your mind on something in short term, I think that's the issue, big issue, when you're so against something and all of a sudden you're not. It may be a question of legitimacy, and then the other, perhaps inappropriate comments and actions. I think that's both sides actually, you know it really is.
Speaker 1:So I understand the reluctance I was trying to find that word reluctant being reluctant to participate in the 2024 election. I believe this appears to watching the media is going to be close, so your vote may well make the difference. Your community, your people. So, but do what you feel. I don't want to encourage someone that truly hates the system and doesn't have any hope. I mean, if that's your case, then yeah, let it go, don't do it. But I would just say participate as much as you can in the process. Perhaps certain races you will avoid and others you will participate because you feel strong and you know what you want to do, and others you're still murky. Some of you are still saying the devil I don't know versus the devil I know, and some of you are putting some of these candidates to sainthood. Maybe foolish to do that, but you still have a right to. So this is you know it's not easy, but I just would encourage you to participate at the end of the day. And so you did your part, you did all you could do. Your candidate doesn't win. You did. What are you, what are you supposed to do? And I wouldn't fall apart, and I think I mentioned this on a prior podcast. I did.
Speaker 1:It's like your world is not going to end at midnight or the next day of november 5 and 6th, 2024, if your candidate doesn't win. And those folks who keep saying, well, I'll leave the country, leave, please do. That'll help the rest of us out. But it's just foolish talk. You know that the zombie apocalypse is going to come if my candidate doesn't win. I don't think so. You still have to go to work, you still have to go to school, do whatever you do and earn a living. Get a living and take care of yourself, your family. Those things are impacted by who you elect.
Speaker 1:But in a day you need to have not just a hope and a prayer, but the reality is, life isn't going to stop. It really isn't. It's not going to pause because my candidate didn't win or my candidate lost. You will live like you always have the day before, during the day and after that voting day and time period is over, when all the ballots have been counted. So it's just foolish talk to say, oh, my life is over. My life isn't going to be over. In fact, you want to give away all your worldly goods, possessions. I'll tell you where to drop them off for me and my family. If you think everything's going to hell, so I don't believe. So I believe, if it isn't the right candidate, it could be hellish. Yeah, true, it could have some problems, true, but to say life is totally over, nah, I ain't taking it to that extreme. No, you know, disagree to disagree with me on that one. But, yeah, zombie apocalypse I'm, you know, I'm going to survive that. We are my family.
Speaker 1:And it's funny how people have faith. You can sit there in a whatever house of worship, go boohoo and crying and yelling oh, I got faith, I got faith. Lord, yeah, I got faith. Whoever you pray to, whatever, but then something bad happens, is oh's, oh, what are we going to do? It's over, the zombie's going to get us. The whole point of faith is to exercise it during certain times, like when I went blind for a little bit, literally blind in one eye and already had issues with the other eye, and it was the result of an accident and you know, you never know how you're really going to react.
Speaker 1:But I have to say I was proud of myself. I didn't fall apart. I literally saw my sight go to zero, and that would be a time to panic. You know that would be a time to cry. Know that'd be time to cry. And you know what? I called my dad. I told him what was going on my eyes it looks like something's happening and, um, I was about to get on the airplane for a business trip. That's when it happened. I said really, you know, that's when the manifestation happened, because I had an accident earlier that morning. Five in the morning slipped, hit my head on the end of a table and went into my eye and cut my eye up, so but it was okay while I was going to the airport. But when I was sitting there started getting dimmer. By the time I got on the airplane it was gone and so I was like my god, that would be a time to panic and and I had literally stayed. I was supposed to stay there on my trip all day and then fly back home that night, which I did.
Speaker 1:They said why did you even come to work? Why did? I said no, I came here, I'm going to fulfill my mission, my duty, and I did. Because I said what am I going to do? I went to the hospital where I was and the doctor said you know what we believe everything's going to be fine. You should get your eyesight back with time. So you couldn't guarantee anything. But he said now I feel you know could have been worse, you could have lost a whole eye. I said, oh my God, yeah, because if you don't have an eyeball, you don't have an eye, so you're not going to see for sure. So I was very fortunate, very fortunate.
Speaker 1:And the point is, during these elections, you need to have faith, whatever that is. I'm not even asking you to be religious, but just faith in the system, faith in yourself, faith that it'll all work out, that it won't be the zombie, vampire apocalypse or your horror movie of choice. So don't want to preach, but you know, I just hear people make comments oh, it's all over, it's going to be over. Where is the end of the world? And if it is, what are you going to do? Think about it. What really are you going to do if it was the end of the world? Just sit back and watch it happen. That's what you're going to do. Get in your spacecraft and go to another planet. Which one? Okay, if you had a spaceship, that's another argument. Right, mars, the moon, not. Yet they're working on that. They're working on that, but, but this, my message today was to be of hope and encouragement to you know, not just go with the flow because everyone else is doing it, but because you want to make a meaningful difference, um, through the actions of your elected official you're voting for, or the measure of ballot that's on the books to be voted for, that you know there's all kind of measures out, uh, in here, where I am, and, um, you know you pray that you let the legislature and the powers that be do the right thing and don't mess up the money.
Speaker 1:Some of them do stuff which we would be in prison for. So I hope there's no malfeasance and misappropriation and no stupidness. The voters vote a certain way. It should be carried out with, not BS. It's very simple really. It really is. But when you have people crooked and nasty and stuff like that, people on the dark side yeah, I'm talking about certain people that are in power they know who they are too. So, hopefully, the karma reap. What you sow, whatever you want to call it, comes back 24. It does, really. You may not witness it with your own eyes, but it does, and so, anyway, I just encourage you to do your part, not lose total faith in the system and we have bad apples, bad characters out there, actors as they call it so just will you know society will deal with them when they make themselves known or exposed. So, anyway, I want to encourage you to go on Amazon and buy my book, please.
Speaker 1:I want to make a difference in people's lives. That's why I wrote it slaying your dragons, living the life you always wanted. I want to make a difference, hopefully in mass. It's okay. I'm fine and I'm blessed to help people that buy my book or may have attended one of my workshops in the past and heard me or whatever. I hear this podcast, and if it's one person a day, then I am blessed and I'm you know and I'm grateful. But I do want to reach thousands and hopefully millions one day, thousands of thousands, a hundred thousand, five hundred thousand, eight hundred thousand, one million, two million, and that's my desire.
Speaker 1:My goal is to help people to give tomorrow a chance, to give tomorrow an opportunity to improve, to be better, to realize your passion, your goals, to live your success. That's why my podcast is called living your success, and so please buy my book on amazon. It's paperback ebook your category type of choice hardback and give it as gifts too this christmas and on birthdays. Please give it a gift. It's affordable price and it's a labor of love, and I'll be working on the second book at some point. And so please share this podcast and please sign up the notifications etc. And thank you to Apple, Amazon Music, iheart, spotify. I want to thank those platforms for carrying my podcast and I hope you have a fruitful rest of the day that you listen to this podcast and week and month of October and rest of the year. And so this is Michael Caine. Until we meet again, my friends, live in your success 24-7. Adios amigos.
